On a Sunday when the sun was shining down on Lisbon, we decided to take a family stroll and buy some chocolates near Praça dos Camões.
As we exited the car park lift, there she was, the pigeon that would change our lives. All bruised, thin and very dirty, she greeted the people arriving there.
We went for our walk, but with her in mind. What could we do? Every living creature deserves love and care. Could we be different and offer help? We decided, as a family, that if the pigeon was still at the lift door, we would take matters into our own hands.
We arrived back at the square and she was still there, in the same spot. We gave her water and something to eat, but we noticed she was very weak and in a worse state than we had thought.
All right, our story begins there, with a decision full of faith and love. She's coming with us, and we're going to change this pigeon's life... Little did we know that this family was about to have the best experience of their lives.
