Civil Procedure Code - Pocket Edition

There have been many significant changes to the legal diplomas included in this work since its last edition.
The Code of Civil Procedure, for example, was amended by Law no. 56/2025, of July 24, in the provisions relating to the distribution of cases.
Moving on to complementary legislation, Law no. 34/2004, of July 29, which sets out the regime for access to justice and the courts, was partially declared unconstitutional by Judgment of the Constitutional Court no. 275/2026, of April 6.
Furthermore, Ordinance no. 280/2013, of August 26, which provides for the electronic processing of judicial cases, was revoked by Ordinance no. 350-A/2025/1, of October 9, which now replaces it, and which was subsequently rectified by Rectification Declaration no. 44/2025/1, of December 5.
The Law on the Organization of the Judicial System, Law no. 62/2013, of August 26, was amended by three diplomas, namely:
- Law no. 57/2025, of July 24;
- Decree-Law no. 25/2026, of January 28, which adapts the internal legal order to Regulation (EU) 2021/784, on addressing the dissemination of terrorist content online;
- Law no. 12-A/2026, of April 15, which ensures the implementation, in the internal legal order, of the Digital Services Act.
Finally, the Regulation on Court Costs, contained in Decree-Law no. 34/2008, of February 26, was amended by Law no. 26/2025, of March 19, which strengthens the penal framework relating to crimes of aggression against security forces and other public service agents, and was also the subject of a partial declaration of unconstitutionality, by Judgment of the Constitutional Court no. 269/2025, of May 5.
